Log Cabin Cocktail

When my friend said she was going to start her Thanksgiving festivities by offering her guests this drink, I jumped on board. It’s on the sweeter side so I suggest making one beforehand, like I did, to adjust with the sparkling cider vs. club soda. If you like it on sweet, use more cider, if you like it dryer, use the club soda.

One of these cocktails and your party will be rockin! Everything pretty much goes in the shaker and right into the glass!

Log Cabin Cocktail

2 ounces maple liqueur or maple cider

1 ounce apple brandy, such as Calvados

1/4 to 1/2 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 ounce sparkling apple cider

splash of club soda

Combine the maple liqueur, apple brandy, and 1/4 ounce of the lemon juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously. Taste and add more lemon juice as needed.

Pour everything, including the ice, into an 8-ounce rocks glass, top with the sparkling cider and a splash of soda water if you want it less sweet, and gently stir to combine.

Enjoy responsibly.
