Dosa Inc.

Dosa IncLocated at Dundonald Park where Somerset and Lyon meet, there is a new food truck on the scene, Dosa Inc.

Owner Jake Thomas is serving up light, crispy, sour dough crepes made from rice and lentils called Dosas. They offer 7 different Dosa options plus 2 Uttapam options.

Uttapams are thick sour dough pancakes made from rice and lentils as well. They are the thicker version of the Dosa and have their ingredients cooked within the batter, as opposed to wrapped inside like a crepe.

Each dish is served with sambar (vegetable soup, slightly spicy), chutney and plantain chips. These dishes are perfect for the vegan, vegetarian and food lover alike.

I ordered the Classic Uttapam which was truly delicious. The samber had a bit of spice and was full of flavour. The coconut chutney was a perfect pairing and we couldn’t get enough of the plantain chips!

I’m in love with mango so I couldn’t resist the mango lassi! A mango lassi is the perfect drink to cut the heat to any spicy Indian dish. It’s made with yogurt, mango puree and sometimes sugar. Yum!image

My colleagues ordered the traditional Masala Dosa. It is filled with potatoes and mixed vegetables. They both said that it was delicious!
